Capturing the Wings of the Netherlands: A Challenge to Photograph 200 Birds

It’s been a while since my last post on October 31, 2023, about the Belgium Air Force Days. Time really flies when you’re having fun! And to think I mentioned in July that I was slowing down… Well, that only applied to posting photos on my socials – I never actually stopped taking them! 😄

In 2025, I’m taking on a new challenge:

A Challenge to photograph 200 birds in the Netherlands!

From winter visitors and migratory birds to those that call this country home year-round, this challenge is the perfect way to explore the incredible birdlife the Netherlands has to offer. And we’re talking about 200 different spicies 😄

From colorful songbirds to powerful raptors, the country is home to an amazing variety of species, and I can’t wait to capture them through my lens. Whether I’m out in the field as a passionate birdwatcher or behind the camera as a photography enthusiast, each sighting will bring me one step closer to my goal.

I’m excited to see how many bird species I can photograph in 2025.
